God's Discriminating Love

We have seen that Christ died for His elect loved ones, but some will complain, why doesn't God save everyone? Why doesn't God love everyone?

Surely God protests His love for the world, and yet, that is not the same as love for every person in the world. The Lord Jesus was confronting Nicodemus with many shocking truths, one of which was that God was not going to judge all the world, but would save those who trust in Jesus.

God would save people of all races and nations, not just the faithful of Israel. This went against what Pharisees like Nicodemus hoped for.

Must God love everyone? Has he no right to choose His beloved ones? Does God have that freedom?

God is not on an equal level with His creatures. He is the Potter and we are the clay pots, and He has the right to love whom He chooses to love.

But Arminians claim that God loves everyone equally! This is obviously not true, because God doesn't present the Gospel to many billions of persons in the world who never hear it at all.

Some claim that man has "free will" to choose to love God, but the Bible teaches that nobody loves God or even seeks after Him.

Free will advocates claim that God refuses to use His power to cause people to love Him, because the only true love is an unforced love.

But parents will force their love on their children when they insist on playing in the streets or wandering over a cliff. The idea that true love always defers to the other's decisions is completely untrue.

In reality, the Bible teaches that God chooses whom He will love, and He saves the beloved ones no matter what it takes, and changes their hearts to love Him!

Jesus died to save His beloved ones!
