Ride On King Jesus!

74

To begin the seventh and final heptad (group of sevens), Jesus does the same thing He does at the introduction to the first heptad: He gives us a glorious vision of Himself. Here, with much of the same imagery and all that has come before in The Revelation, He presents Himself as the Rider on the White Horse, with four incredible names to remind us that He is destroying His and our enemies (Westminster Larger Catechism 45), bringing righteous war and justice upon the principalities of darkness that look like they are presently winning, but are actually presently being conquered as the Church Militant is becoming the Church Triumphant while marching through the world with the Great Commission.
