God's Self-Description

1. God is merciful
   Mercy - Not receiving the punishment we rightly deserve

2. God is gracious
   Grace - Receiving the reward we do not deserve

3. God is patient, long suffering
   Patient - Waits without becoming annoyed

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.

Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
God is still the same today - He is merciful - He is gracious - He is long suffering!
