Practical Christian Living - 2 Timothy 2:22-23

The Apostle Paul was a great theologian; his systematic presentation of gospel truth in the epistle to the Romans prepared the way for our Westminster Confession of faith in Rom 1: Character of God (v20); depravity of man (v28); Rom 3: One way of Salvation through faith in Lord Jesus Christ (v24); Justification by Faith; Rom6 Life of Holiness; Rom 7 use of Law; Rom8 Assurance; Rom 9 Mystery of God's Sovereign Election; Church Comprising Jew and Gentile; things lying in the future. But Paul was not an intellectual debater; he was always intensely practical the form of Godliness is of no use. Here he urges Timothy to:
I) Flee youthful lusts;
II) Follow Righteousness, Faith Charity and Peace;
III) Forsake Foolishness.
