Be Prepared!

Ready or not, Jesus is coming again! We need to be not only watching for signs of His coming, but also prepared for when He does come. And believers during the tribulation period need to be ready for the second coming of Jesus. Jesus tells another parable, a story of ten virgins waiting the arrival of the bridegroom. Five are wise in that they have oil for their torches and are prepared to join the procession leading to the wedding feast. Five are foolish in that they have no oil, and thus are unprepared to join in the procession. Jesus tells the story to describe the difference between possessing believers and only those who profess faith in Christ; and to warn about being prepared spiritually for the coming of the Lord! Those who may look like genuine believers but who are devoid of spiritual life will be excluded from the kingdom. Only genuine believers will enter into the festivities! So, it is extremely important to make sure now that one has been born again and is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. When one's day of grace closes, it will be too late.
