Jerusalem as it would be (Isaiah 2:1-5) was not Jerusalem as it was. After this positive prophecy, a denouncement of the current state of the nation followed. The diagnosis was simple, although it took many forms: pride. Fundamentally, the people did not trust God, so they took matters into their own hands. Are we guilty as well?
