Pray Like This

Jesus prefaced the Lord's Prayer with the words "pray then like this," implying that there is a right pattern of prayer for disciples, as opposed to how unbelievers pray. Even true disciples need instruction in prayer, which is why Jesus taught His disciples. Jesus' instruction should shape our pattern in prayer, but the Lord's Prayer is not meant to be formulaic.
