Beautiful Shepherd

John 10 takes us to the heart of Christianity - the sending and dying of the Lord Jesus as substitute for sinners. In this section, we conclude a long continuous conversation with the Pharisees which began in chapter 8. While there are three broad categories of Jesus teaching in these verses there is also much doctrinal detail. First, there is the shepherd who Dies willingly for the sheep. Second, there is the shepherd who Knows and loves the sheep. Third, there is the shepherd who Expands and Unites the sheep. With this section, we complete the allegory of the good shepherd.
