Leadership Lessons

The whole book of Judges demonstrates the pattern of sin from people. I also shows how God saves His people. God has instructed us to obey our leaders (we are not to obey commands that go against God's commands). Tola came into leadership to save Israel. Leadership is important, however leaders are not irreplaceable and leaders are temporary. What matters is not what everyone else says, it is how it looks in the eyes of God. When you worship something, you serve it. Jesus said no one can serve God and money. There are many people in our culture that serve God on the basis of their finances. The only security we have is in the Lord. There is only One true God. The marvelous thing about the fear of the Lord is that if you fear Him, you do not have to fear anything else. The kindness of the Lord is to lead us to repentance. When the people cried out to the Lord and gotten rid of their idols, God could no longer bear their misery no longer. God is the One who will rescue His people. He will do it by raising up a leader. What matters most is how God sees things.
