Positive Thinking

The positive thinking movement has captured the western church over the last few decades as prominent 'teachers' have used today's text to convey worldly ideas about how to 'claim' God's blessing as if it is a right or something due us. Truly this passage teaches beleivers what we are to set our minds to, how to do just that and what the results will be. However, a careful examination of the text will suprise those seeking simple, self-serving answers.
