Interpreting the Word of God With the Word of God Part Two

English with French Translation. The eighth of ten lectures on “Knowing and Teaching The Word of God”. If I have heard it once, I have heard it a thousand times, “I don't know what the Bible like you but I know what I experienced and you can't take that away from me.” The truth however is that if you do not know what the Bible says you do not know what you have experienced. In addition the mantra of “cultural context” is attacked with vigor. I have never heard the appeal to culture in the context of the affirmation of conservative doctrine or life practice. Biblical doctrine judges and interprets culture not vice versa. All culture is fallen, sinful and under the judgment of God on the simple basis that all culture is made up of fallen, sinful men under the judgment of God. In this lecture a clear presentation of the principle that “The Word of God Is Understood And Interpreted By The Word Of God” is presented. All culture, all science, all history, all knowledge is judged by the Word of God and the Word of God is judged by none of these. This lecture addresses the practical applications of this important principle.
