Living as God's Adopted Sons

Believers are God's adopted children, having the full rights of sons by virtue of their union with Jesus. The Spirit of the Father and the Son teaches us to cry 'Abba, Father' in the time while we await the full revelation of our status. This is contested time, and while we know much groaning and travail of spirit, the outcome is not in doubt. Yes we experience 'the pains of childbirth', but this is not a fruitless labour. We will see the rebirth of a whole creation!
