That a church's deeds of late might be greater than the first, that church must be at war with the lethargy, dullness and heartlessness that can develop as the years unfold. A church must resist tendencies to ease, comfort, security and slackness in the service of Christ. A church must be on guard lest zeal, love, faith and devotion wane. Revived evangelistic zeal, church planting zeal along with a revived zeal for biblical church life are addressed. God save us from becoming a ghastly crew!
