Entering Sabbath (Rest)

The NT, especially the Book of Hebrews, teaches us that the fourth commandment, the Sabbath commandment, was fulfilled in our Lord Jesus Christ who by his death and resurrection secured for his people the rest of salvation. We rest in Christ as God rested from his creative work on the seventh day. God's rest was one of contemplation and satisfaction. So do we rest in Christ and by apostolic example gather with fellow believers to worship and fellowship on the first day of the week.
