The Prodigal Son parable of Luke 15 highlights a number of things for the Christian. One of the most important things that's highlighted is the need for the Christian to enter into and maintain fellowship with God. There is a huge difference between having salvation and having fellowship and having salvation does not automatically mean having fellowship. It must be pursued!
