But Now

Before Christ saved us we were dead in our sins and wholly unable to remedy the situation. Now that Christ has made us new creations, being resurrected to new life with Him, we are to mortify the works of the flesh that characterized our old and fallen nature. We are to crucify the carnal habits that dominated our life of sin in order that we may don new garments that reflect Christ and the new life that we have in Him.
