Restoring Credibility

Sadly, oaths were being used to cover deception… Credibility, then as now, is hard to come by! It's difficult finding people of integrity, honesty, and sincerity. While this can be expected from the world, it is a horrible atrocity when Christians are found being untruthful and unfaithful. It destroys our credibility, which figures so importantly for we who are to “speak the truth in love.” Let's look at Matt 5:33-37 in a sermon entitled: Restoring Credibility. Jesus provides the cure by providing a two-fold prescription:
(1) Exposing Duplicity v33, 34b-36
(2) Demanding Fidelity v34a, 37
