Humility Check-Up

So this week let's consider Jesus' instruction to His disciples on this occasion in Capernaum. Here in Mt 18:1-5 (and Mk 9:33-37, Lk 9:46-48) in a sermon entitled Humility Check-Up, all followers of Christ should examine their humility on the basis of at least three tests …

1. Consider the content of your conversations.
2. Consider the condition of your motivations.
3. Consider your conduct in human relations.

By the way, should you instantly respond, “I've got all that down pat. I'm the most humble person I know.” You need this examination more than anyone!  Humility is one of those interesting things… once you glory in your possession of it, you've lost it!
