Hagar, Part 2

In many ways Hagar is a role model for a single mother, but she fails in the most important task a parent has: she fails to see that her son understands and believes the gospel.

Sarah's son, Isaac, was 'in Christ' and reckoned as the seed of Abraham. Hagar's son, Ishmael, was not 'in Christ' and so he ended up persecuting the 'son born according to the Promise.'
