Radical Revelations

Christains are right to pursue the spiritual growth of the inner man with vigor and purpose. Yet, many do so to the neglect of the important role that the physical body plays in God's overall plan of salvation and glorification. The view that there is nothing redeemable nor any important purpose for our bodies in God's plan of redemption finds it's roots in ancient Gnosticism. The fact is, dying to sin and rising to new life in Christ are accompanied by the dying and rising of what Paul calls the 'outer person;' a process that will be consummated in the physical death and resurrection of the body.
