Blessings and Curses, Part 2
Series Bitter Fruit
112
This message continues with the warnings of Deuteronomy 29:18-19 and focuses on the account of the Syrian general, Naaman.
Naaman's true problem was not the leprosy on his body; it was the leprosy of his proud, idolatrous heart.
That proud heart was broken by means of Elisha's dealing with him and by the appeal of his servants.
Elisha does not accept Naaman's gifts. But in spite of Naaman's little understanding of his new found faith, Elisha blesses this new believer as he heads back to Damascus.
But Elisha's servant, Gehazi, is distressed by the loss of all that wealth and goes after Naaman.
