Sin, It's a Living Thing

Romans 7:7-11

1. We have completely missed what the Law is and accordingly what sin is. (The Problem) v.7a
2. The Law is a gift from God to show us what the enemy is. (The corrective)
   a. The Law was given to show us who God is and who we are. v.7b
   b. As the Law reveals this to us, sin is brought alive in us to disobey God. v.8a
   c. Without the Law, sin is dead. v.8b
   d. Though I was alive, the law brings sin alive in me.vv.9-12
3. we must live with the understanding that the law is given for our own good. (The follow-through) v.12
