The Great Commission and the Church

If God's purpose in creation is to save His people, and it is by His purpose that we do this, then we are to expect that He has given us instructions in His Word as to the carrying out of this purpose. We find such instruction given to the New Testament apostles in the Great Commission. We are not to see the Great Commission as given to us as an individual burden, but rather as to the church, to be carried out as a body, each of us with different gifts in assisting in the task.
