Good News For Slaves

Bad news may dishearten us but it can also arouse us to take a needed course of action. Paul has announced the bad news of being under the curse of the Law. Such bad news may humble the proud sinner, give him an accurate view of himself and direct him to the good news of the remedy God has provided. In Galatians 3:13 that good news is heralded in the words, "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law." The good news is that Christ gave Himself as a ransom payment so as to liberate His people from bondage to the curse and condemnation of the Law.
