• Salvation is more than Just the Forgiveness of Sin – It is Death to Sin and a New Life in Christ (Titus 3:5; 2:11-12) – A New Mindset

Arm Yourself with a Certain Mindset (vs. 1-3)

• Arm Yourself with the Same Mindset of Christ in His Suffering – A Renewed Mindset (v. 3)
• Our Enemy – “the Flesh” – Our Sin Nature – Make it “Suffer”( Romans 6:5-7)
• No Longer Live for the “Lusts of Men, but for the will of God” (v. 2; Romans 14:7-8; Psalm 143:10)
• “Spent Enough of Our Past Lifetime in Doing the Will of the Gentiles” (v. 3)
• Ought to Grieve Us to Repentance

Conclusion/Application

• No Longer Serve Sin with a Worldly Mindset but Rather God in Humble Submission to His Word
• The Lord’s Supper – A Good Reminder of the Mindset that We Ought to Possess
