Elihu's Straw Conflict

Elihu asks a rhetorical question to which he assumes a positive answer - but actually the right answer is negative; no, Job does not say, "My righteousness is more than God's." The fact that Elihu THINKS he does, however, is why Elihu's whole argument is built of straw. He fights a straw man on behalf of a straw god, and therefore he only accomplishes a straw victory.
