Mercy in Judgment

Not only would and did Jehovah give mercy to His people as He judged and punished the nations, but He gave mercy in His judgment and discipline of His remnant.

God's people fail, too, and need God's Fatherly and often uncomfortable discipline. In mercy He tempers His affliction to less than we deserve, and He works all to our holiness and our good.
