Where the believer's heart is

The setting of the psalm may refer to 2 Samuel 15:25,26.

1. David's cause is right v1-3.
2. David's category is clear v4,5
3. David's place seems wrong v6-8
4. David's destination depends on God's verdict v9,10
5. David's prospect is assured v11,12. God will not forget our cause when it is his cause. We must make sure that everything we contend for in the world is bound up with the honour of the Lord.
