To The Church in Laodicea

What a picture is painted for us in God's precious Word of the Risen, Ascended, and Reigning Messiah. He, the One whom John beheld, in His glory and power, speaks to His Church and what He has to say is essential for the purpose of walking in faithfulness before Him and the world. Christ wants true devotion from His people and is content with nothing less and will do what is necessary to stir His people to holiness. As Christ confronts the spiritual apathy in the church at Laodicea, He does so that they might repent, and He calls them to repentance because He loves them, and desires to see them transformed by His grace. When Christ speaks, heed, and if he calls for repentance, then by God's grace, repent.
