The wise Canaanite woman who Jesus baited with language
about feeding children vs. feeding dogs took the opportunity to demonstrate both mastery of OT theology and submission to it as a Gentile. Jesus proceeds from her to a Gentile region to heal all their diseases and to feed their thousands with hampers full of leftover pieces! Messiah comes to the Jews first and to the Gentiles second in terms of priority, but not in terms of sufficiency for our needs. The Messiah provides abundantly for all!
