Romance Novels for Our Daughters

Some women consider romance novels to have a similar effect on them as pornography has on men. They say that it creates a discontentment with what God has given them, and a lusting after something 'better.' Are romance novels helpful? What about 'Christian' romance novels? This introduces a discussion on the use of fiction as metaphor, and how and when and why fiction can be edifying for our children.
