Vanquisher of Demons

In one of the most dramatic confrontations of the Lord Jesus with an oppressing demon, we see Jesus delivering a boy who had been violently tormented for several years. In this passage we learn that:

1. Human power alone is insufficient to combat evil powers.
2. Satan and his demons can do great harm to humans.
3. Humble, weak faith is honored by God.
4. Jesus Christ has absolute power and authority over Satan and his demons.
5. Prayer and faith are the Christian's weapons for combatting demonic powers.
