Bible Meditation | Jonah 1:6

"So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not." (Jonah 1:6)

"What meanset thou, O sleeper?" is one of the greatest phrases in the Holy Bible. It's piercing structure cuts right to the dividing assunder. And yet, Jonah remained indifferent, cold, and unmoved by God's word. I pray that you and I will labor in heart and mind to make certain we never find ourselves in such a spiritual condition!

1 Timothy 4:13-16 "Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee."
