The Christian life is a journey to the greatest joy that exists. But "the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." Why? Because it is a paradox. In order to pursue our greatest joy, we must deny ourselves. Christianity is a journey from natural self-centeredness to supernatural Christ-centeredness. What does it mean to be a real Christian? It means you will be swimming upstream while everyone else is going downstream with the current of the culture.
