Zechariah 1-3

In the times of the Gentiles, with a remnant returned to the promised land, the Temple of God lay incomplete—and the people lived in covenant disobedience to Yahweh. God raised up two prophets, the elderly Haggai and the younger Zechariah, to encourage the people to finish the task at hand and rebuild God's Temple. In Zechariah 1-3 we see sublime promises that God will again choose Jerusalem, dwell in her very presence, all with the future work of Jesus the Messiah. And by the way, God invited Satan to hear this message, especially in Zechariah 3, for some very important reasons.
