The Wisdom War

There has been a war waging since the dawn of time and the battle-field ranges from the heavenly places to our very own hearts. I am certain we know it all too well. One way the Scriptures describe the opponents of this conflict is 'wisdom from above' and that which is 'not the wisdom that comes down from above.' One is from heaven, of the Spirit and divine, whilst the other is 'earthly, unspiritual and demonic.' We should never diminish the seriousness of this battle. However, by faith we can stand in confidence that through the cross of Christ, God has and will destroy the wisdom of the wise, for to those who are being saved, the word of the cross is the power of God.
