Going to Hell 2

There just doesn't seem to be much in the way of consequences for living an indulgent life. Also, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of reward for the poor, but righteous life. But, this picture is skewed. You need to take eternity into your equation. All of the wicked man's hopes and dreams die with him. Yet the most extreme dreams of the righteous man come alive after his death. Death is coming to you as it does to every other person. Thinking of your death puts your life into perspective. In the wicked man's after-death state, not even all of his previous wealth could buy him a single drop of water. His crash is dramatically worse than that of Job. And this happens every time a wicked person dies. No hope of recovery. All that is left is to suffer. His single biggest dream now is a single drop of water! Even that is impossible. The transaction for him was already completed by his decision to indulge on earth. In hell, God shows no pity. Ever. His pity is only for this life. His pity tempers even our suffering in this world. But there, not even a fleeting joy will relieve the anguish. Forever. All hope and purpose gone. Hell should change you now. It is a dreadful reality! It must be included in my motivation to resist temptation. God will bring justice in an unjust world. We are not the judge. The righteous always have it better than the wicked, regardless of how their lives turn out in this world. The righteous don't envy the rich in the eternal state. Why should they be envied now?
