The Bible commands Christians to walk as Jesus walked. Jesus alone is worthy of our imitation (and only those who imitate Christ are worthy to be followed). But Christ is not only our Example; he is our Advocate and our Propitiation. These three roles remind us that in order to "walk as he walked" we must also walk with him closely.
