Why be thankful? Why rejoice? Why can we have absolute confidence that Jesus Christ is, not only Lord, but God? Because He IS! He is all and all; Creator and sustainer of all!
Imagine hitching your wagons to anything other than Jesus!
When we realize the sovereignty, providence and power of Jesus, we SHOULD be driven to be holy. This holiness in no way can be earned, but can only be given through justification. We, who could bring nothing to the table, except for our great sin, have been declared righteous because of the perfection of Christ. We now have the power to overcome!
There is but one requirement for this declaration from God. “Ye must be born again!” Why not today. The Holy Spirit has been convicting you of your sin, and testifying of the “once for all” sacrifice of Christ Jesus!
