The dismissal of Simeon proves that he was a faithful sentinel for the Christ. The Presentation of Jesus at the Temple shows us the post, the watchman, and the Good News. In this narrative we are challenged to ask the question, "What is better; Jesus or a good, safe, comfortable life?"
