Understanding God's Will, Part 1

Ephesians 5:17 contains both a negative exhortation (do not be foolish) and a positive exhortation (understand what the will of the Lord is). We are not to speak or act mindlessly, but our words and actions must be thought through in a godly way, to ensure they are according to God's will. What is the will of the Lord?
