The crucial nature of the doctrine of the Resurrection of Christ can been seen in the transformation of the lives of the disciples of Christ. From craven fear, they came to be known for their fearlessness and their resolve to keep preaching the resurrection in spite of all threats and oppression against them. They would not have laid down their lives for a delusion. They knew the truth that if the Resurrection of Christ is a lie, then all of Christianity collapses. Such knowledge makes the approach of the compromisers with infidelity full of folly. If Christ has not been raised from the dead, then Christianity lies completely discredited.
