Worshiping God With Renewed Minds

When Moses was up on the mountain receiving shall we say--an applied holy world view--other transactions were taking place beneath the mountain. The recently rescued Jews were "worshiping." They were offering disgraceful worship, and yet were doing all this in the name of God. How do we account for this? We account for it by realizing they were simply doing what they had seen done in their corrupt Egyptian culture. Their perverse culture informed their unrenewed minds and out came this "worship". They lacked faith in the holy merciful God, they did not possess renewed minds and consequently brought disaster on themselves AS MUST ALWAYS BE THE CASE WHEN WE LACK FAITH AND RENEWED MINDS.
