The bible speaks of the representative offices of men. Adam represented all of humanity and thus all of humanity fell in Adam's fall (I Corinthians 15:22a, Romans 5:12). Christ represents his covenant people (I Corinthians 15:22b, Romans 5:19b) often referred to as his sheep (John 10:11) the elect (Matthew 24:31) and his people (Matthew 1:21), and He is their hope and surety of salvation (Romans 8:31-39).
