Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman reached its climax with a large number of Samaritans embracing Him as the Messiah, the Savior of the world. This episode was a critical first lesson for Jesus' disciples - one which they needed to learn well if they were to fulfill their own mission to carry His life and witness into the world.
