10. Moving Outward from Jerusalem

Prior to his ascension, Jesus revealed the extent of the 'witness' of the disciples, from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. The gospel is to be proclaimed throughout the world, as a prelude to the Telos (Matt. 24:14).
The outward movement of 'the gospel of God' (Romans 1:1), and the spontaneous expansion of the Christian Church are all central to the plan of God, under the Spirit's power to bring about the 'obedience of the faith' (Romans 1:5; 16:6) among the nations, is the clear intention of God;
we are all part of that plan, as we go (Matt. 28:18-20). And Jesus is with us in this work, to the Telos of this age.
