God's Cities Of Refuge

After God divided the land for the Israelites, He appointed certain cities to have a special purpose. If someone killed someone else accidentally, the avenger could seek the life of the slayer. However, the slayer could flee to the cities of refuge. The slayer had to stay in the city until the death of the high priest and then he could return to his own land.

1. These cities teach us regarding God's justice
   God values life and He must have justice done.

2. These cities teach us regarding God's mercy
   God provides us a place to flee.

3. These cities teach us regarding God's promise of pardon
   God pardons us from our sins if we flee to Him.
