Salvation is the Starting Point

Salvation is the place each believer starts his or her “race” to the end. During that race, rewards are either gained, or not. It certainly seems clear from Scripture that salvation is something the believers possesses now (cf. Luke 7:50; John 3:36; John 5:24; John 6:47). Crowns or rewards are things that occur after we have come into possession of salvation.
