This week's passage (Gal. 2:11-21) brings the issue of our righteous standing before God to the fore through the question of food laws. Paul's response to Peter is in terms of his defence of the gospel, which tells us the good news that we are accounted righteous by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave himself for us.
