The Gracious Love of Christ!

If there's one thing we need in our Christian circles today, it's the love of God and the love of Christ and the love one for another. You see we are commanded to love one another and yet you find very clearly that churches today are at odds, people are at odds, preachers are at odds,churches are at odds, deacons are at odds, choirs are at odds with one another and there's everything but love in the church and we find that it's growing instead of decreasing as it should be. The reason?- the people today as a whole do not not what the love of Christ is all about.

Romans 5:5-8 (KJV)5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1 John 4:7-10 (KJV)7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
